so have there been any tests on WP vs flameout hopping? should I be doing both? one or the other? either?

Eta: I use whirlpool only for bold american hop flavor because it has worked for me every time.

So I'm thinking something like this:
2 oz columbus @ 30 min
(3 oz total) 1 oz each of cent, simcoe, amarillo at flameout
(5 oz total) 2 oz each of cent and simcoe and 1 oz of amarillo whirlpool
I'll dry hop with a something like 3 oz of cent and 2 oz of simcoe per 5 gal keg.
another option: replace all of the simcoe above with mosaic.

yes
it's possible I'll run out of mosaic so I may need to adjust slightly.

I just like Simcoe more than Mosaic. I like them both just Simcoe gets the edge for me. I see Cent, Simcoe and Amarillo as a classic combo. Now, if you add Mosaic to that, I am all for it

I can get that. I can always save the mosaic for yet another hoppy beer

would it be crazy to add a tiny bit of midnight wheat to this to darken it ever so slightly?
2 oz would get me to 9.4 SRM vs 5-6 SRM. I just usually think of an ESB as being kind of orange/red colored.

I decided to do this for the hops. I'll decide on the dry hop later. I figure with only a little simcoe in here I could dry hop one keg with some simcoe+cent+amarillo and the other with mosaic+cent+amarillo.
2 oz columbus @ 30 min
(3 oz total) 1 oz each of cent, simcoe, amarillo at flameout
(5 oz total) 2 oz each of cent and mosiac and 1 oz of amarillo whirlpool
