I agree with what everyone is saying. The folks who frequent this board are very friendly and helpful, and a huge resource. I've learned a lot from the people here.

This has become my first stop when I hit the boards. I agree that the environment here is great & has a lot of talented brewers. When I first started brewing (1999), I either didn't know about the boards or they did not exist. As a result, I would call the places that I bought kits from if I had a question (Williams, Austin, Karps, etc.) and luckily for me, they were helpful. But with the boards, you always find people who have already been through your current situation and they will be very generious with their time and guide you through it. How many of us would be making the beer we're making without the help of those who have been there before us? :)

Yes, much more low key here (unless you are in a political thread over in the PH).

Yeah we've had some good peeps come over, I had stopped posting in the beer forum at the Greenboard for my own reasons. I find myself posting in the beer and recipe forums here at a higher rate again and it has rejuvenated my brewing. I don't post much overall unlike JK so my increased posts aren't exactly flooding the board.
