Thanks, this one is not mine, however, it is the Schlafly Oatmeal Stout, which is among the top of its class. The current iteration is a descendant of the original recipe devised by Dave Miller when he was the head Brewer at Schlafly in the early '90s, however, it has been probably the least changed of all Schlafly recipes over the years, it is actually nearly identical.

How do you pronounce 'Schlafly'?

Brewed the smoked porter yesterday. It was frickin' freezing outside. I started heating my sparge water around 6:30a, my thermocouple was reading 35°F. It really killed my mash temp. It started at 154, by the time an hour had passed it was below 150. I think that was the last time I'll be brewing outside.

Ended up brewing an American IPA yesterday. I also kegged 20G on friday and secondaried a couple of beers. I still have a two beers that need to be kegged, but I think my time in the brewery has run out for this weekend.Mashman

Ahh...you get used to it pretty quickly.The primary owner is Tom Schlafly.

I got an American Wheat in the primary right now.... I forgot how much I love the smell of co2 escaping the airlock.... :)

I'm brewing for the first time today since early June.I'm about 20 minutes into the boild of an American Brown.Prolly throw some wings on the smoker later today.

My MLPA is getting ready to get on the boil.....my pre boil gravity is 1.041....nice!
