I've ordered some from midwest. They weren't bad. I think most people wait around for some crazy deal to pop up. Did you check craigslist? I know I've seen some guys with massive amounts of corny kegs for sale. If you find any great deals as far as ordering them let us know. I know I wouldn't mind having another keg or two.I have not bought any corny kegs in years, but I need a few more. Where is everybody getting theirs now? I started out using Coke pin style, but converted over to Pepsi style and like it.

$30 at midwest but I think there are possibly better deals out there to be found. The LHBS price is anywhere from 40-50 bucks per keg. I guess I have been out of the loop, because I recall paying $25 per used keg, but that was a "deal" at the time. I saw a guy on Craigslist wanting $100 for 2 kegs, and a 5lb Co2 bottle with a twin reg. Pretty good deal, except I already have a 20 lb and 5lb tank, plus regs.

Tell me more about his single handle keg. All I own are double handle that got retired from commercial use. Is the single handle the same except for the handle? What commercial use did they serve?I like the price BTW.https://www.chicompa...p...ex&cPath=44this place *used* to be the place to go. Prices have skyrocketed in the last year tho. I used to be able to get a bundle of 4 cornies for @ $72 plus shipping. Now theyre almost $100. Looks like the single handles ones are still pretty reasonable @ $19 each.

The main drawback of single handle kegs is they cannot be stacked on top of each other.the single handle kegs are just like the others, but they dont have the black rubber ring aroudn the top, just one handle. Check out the pics at the site.

Seems like the last time we had a cheap keg conversation someone brought up the way the hand is affixed to the keg. Apparently some of them go all the way to the inside where there is an o-ring seal. This bothers me because I would worry about that o-ring eventually leaking as well as another possible place for nasties to hide. The main drawback of single handle kegs is they cannot be stacked on top of each other.

Interesting point. I was not aware of this because I avoid single handle kegs because of what I suppose I should call the *obvious* drawback of not being stackable. That wasn't a problem when I had 4 kegs, but now that I have 20 I need to be able to stack them in the hallway. If the handles are protruding into the tank then yeah, that might be the *main* drawback.Seems like the last time we had a cheap keg conversation someone brought up the way the hand is affixed to the keg. The ones I have just have a the handle or a stud welded on the exterior of the keg (depending if its a metal or plastic handle respectively), they don't protrude.Seems like the last time we had a cheap keg conversation someone brought up the way the hand is affixed to the keg.
