I can't drink them, it's just too big a beer for me. Matter of fact, I don't even brew anything darker than a brown. Takes me too long to ever get through a keg. Last stout I brewed was Jim V's Oatmeal and I gave about 7 gallons away. My stout drinking buddy still swears by that beer. I haven't brewed a porter or stout in a couple years now.I've had one RIS in my life.... Siberian Nights. Holy hell.

Say it with me miccullen......... I P A's, Vienna Lagers, Ambers, Kolschs, Alts, Pale Ales, Pils, ESB's. You can have the porters and stouts. If I get a hankering for one, I'll buy a 6'er, that way I dont have a tap handle tied up forever.

The differences among beer drinkers are so interesting. I always have a porter and a stout pouring. And the beer I brew the most often is a robust porter because we go through it so quickly. It doesn't matter what time of year it is, we will kick the robust porter in about 6 weeks.Say it with me miccullen......... I P A's, Vienna Lagers, Ambers, Kolschs, Alts, Pale Ales, Pils, ESB's.
