Yeah, I just pull some from the kettle with a Pyrex measuring cup. I dunno, maybe I've gotten used to it, but I can easily see what the color of the finished beer is gonna be like from the kettle sample.

Well I was wrong. The roast is gone and it's got a perfect malt flavor and smooth bitterness. This beer is gonna win some medals (alt).

I gotta say, it tastes a lot like in between Uerige and Fuchschen alt. Closer to Fuchschen though which was the one I liked better the last time I did a tasting of alts from dusselfdorf.

How many comps is it going to?
2 FL comps, O'Zapft Is in Texas for sure, then maybe some more that I can find. Probably also Best Florida Beer at the beginning of next year. I'll bottle half the batch just for comps.
