Im trying to send Matt my updated files for hops and malt. I sent him both dat files but when he opens them up no new additions show. Any clue why?

Well this is just plain confusing. I can open the files you sent me and see that there are plenty new ingredients in there but just not showing up in Promash. I even went as far and deleted all of the the malt.dat and hop.dat files of of my computer and it still shows all of the ingredients even without the dat files being there. I don't get it.

Figured it out. I remember some things when I first posted this thread about people having problems transferring/copying files in win 7 or up. Well I have win 8, so I just moved the Promash folder to My Documents and that did it! All the new ingredients Blktre sent me were there. So all good Thanks!

Cool. There are some new stuff in there mostly from NCM and nothing to crazy. There is a PM>BS converter program out there so for those that use BS I wonder if they can send you some different things.

Hmmmm, PM gonna get some support now I wonder?
It would be nice, but I'd be shocked if that happened.

I agree. The program doesn't need support anyways because it already does everything you need it to.It would be nice, but I'd be shocked if that happened.

Wow. ProMash will be back. Where did it go?
Amazing so many people still use it considering it's, what, 15 years old now? I think I got it in 2003.

From what I have read the guy who developed it was taking care of his wife who was sick and did not want to let control of the program go. I am sure others will correct me if I am wrong.
