With the change of scenery and attitude is it too much to ask to have PH posts count on the post count. PH'ers are people too.

PH posts now count toward your post total. I think it only works on a go-forward basis, but I'm not certain.

You can force a recount in the control panel.

Where? I don't see anywhere to do that in my control panel.

In the Admin Control Panel. For what it's worth, I think this was a terrible idea.

Yeah, I don't know what the big deal is. I don't really pay attention much to my post counts.

I'm not a big fan either, but at the same time post counts are (or should be) fairly irrelevant either way. One mitigating factor to keep in mind is that eventually we will likely implement an automatic PH topic pruning feature much like what I installed on the greenboard recently. So even though PH posts may count toward post count totals, the post counts in the PH will eventually become small in comparison to the main brewing sections.

Why is it a big deal if PH posts count or not? Do you get a prize if your number is bigger than mine? Or is this just a big 'Mine is bigger than yours' thing?

More about a sense of community and not having a 2 sided thing that wound up happening over at the GB. There was a very clear line drawn between the PHers and the beer community that led to some divisiveness.Just my $0.02

Yeah, I also think it's a terrible idea. Post count should indicate how much of a contribution you make in the Beer/Wine/Mead forums. That way when a newbie comes in for advice, he/she will know to give more weight to advice offered by MtnBrewer than by, say, Connie.

Personally, I think it's uber-lame for posts in certain areas not to count.
