I had a maple bacon porter once that was delicious. The bacon flavor didn't last more than a couple months though. They infused bacon into vodka and added that to the beer.

I drank the voodoo. I wouldnt fight someone for another one. And at the price point, you can have it.
I have had one or two ok bacon beers. I say ok because they were fine, but I wouldnt want another.
To me bacon beer is not a good idea. The primary characteristics that we love about bacon are salty, fatty, and smokey. We can do smokey, but salty and fatty just arent achievable in any real or good way in a beer. Just my opinion, but this is why I think bacon beers are kind of a futile effort. YMMV

Ok. Mod shenanigans are getting a bit out of hand. Keep it in the PH.

A guy in my club makes a bacon beer, and even dry "hogs" it for extra bacon flavor. More of a I can do it beer than something you really want to drink

Dude, when I made a tofu beer, the deal was that I got to make fun of anybody who said they could taste the tofu!

Mods messed with "bacon". I'd cut off someones hand if they tried to put tofu in my beer.

I needed to make something to represent Eugene. Pot beer was out of the question. Tofu was the obvious answer.
