I got to thinking today about the bails/half bails of hops at Hops direct. I would have trouble trying to use 25# in a reasonable time . I added my usage in my records for the last 12 months( conservative count) i have used 5# and 1.25 oz. Many different varieties , some i wont try again. Others i loved. I am sure i lost some hop counts when i was stuffing the keg etc,, i have had a slow past two months also .

I bought about 4 # of hops before the crisis and I am just now using the last 3 ounces (amarillo and centennial). I have to go through my notes but I have bought additional hops from HBS's when I am out of town but that purchase lasted a while. Likewise, I don't brew hop monsters and usually aim for BUGU levels of less than 1. I ordered 5# of assorted pellet hops from hopsdirect a couple of day ago. I noticed the UPS email read that it is a 7# package. It is scheduled to come in tomorrow so I'll keep you guys apprised.

I always want to post obnoxious pro brewing numbers in threads like this as sort of a joke, but always figure I would come off as a jackass......I homebrewed very little this year. Two batches I think.Lifetime, 20-30 pounds homebrewing probably.Pro......well, lets just say I have put a lot of hops in kettles.....BrewBasser
