1" will leave 1/8" all around. 3/4" will be very snug.Beachyeah - I need to figure out how small of a PVC I can use with 1/2" ID thick walled silicone tubing.

If it was me I would go with 1.25" at a minimum. 1" is just asking for problems IMO.1" will leave 1/8" all around. 3/4" will be very snug.Beach

That is precisely why my old friend went with his 3" solution.....just easier to snake the hose.....cap and insulate when not in use, no problems.....If it was me I would go with 1.25" at a minimum. 1" is just asking for problems IMO.

I could probably just get a double barb and jam one end in the stopper and the have a short run of tubing for the other with a QD on the end. is there a reason you are using this style of stopper versus the solid block type (see image below)?I used a conduit knockout on some and a hole-saw/spade bit on others. Better to go smaller and file for s snug fit.For the gas in I just drill a small hole in the stopper and pushed it in, it is Barbed on the other end. I think a tube and maybe some silicone around it would work fine. The racking cane is snug and I have no leaks.

I was going to say HD .. looks like you are good to go.eta: looks like I can get a brass 3/8" to 3/8" barb at home depot. so the SS racking cane goes into the 1/4" hole. the 3/8" barb goes into the 3/8" hole and I can put some gas line on the 3/8" barb with a QD on the end. I think I finally have it!
