14 gal preboil 12 gal post boil 17# American 2-row 2# Flaked oats - grocery store - a bit more wouldn't hurt. Someone made cookies the night before so I was a little short. 1# light Gr. Munich .5# Special B .5# C-40 .5# C-120 .25# Carafa III (dehusked) 1 hr mash - 148df and raised to 151df with the EHERMS 60 min boil 2 oz Columbus leaf 12.8, 60 min 3 oz Ahtanum leaf 4.4, 20 min 3 oz Ahtanum leaf 10 min 4 oz Ahtanum leaf 0 min (15 min steep and settling) Wyeast 1272, 1.050 OG, 60 IBU's anticipated. Those hops were given to LBG by Free State a few months ago. 2008, IIRC and I was a bit optimistic on the IBUs. I would guess more like 45 IBUs and for once am happy it came out that way. I like what the Special B brings and would double it next time. Nice malty Am version with a little hop kick in it.
