Gone back and forth over the years about whether to pay for that site. Any one here belong and if so, is it worth it?

I used to and there was some good information there, mostly from oskaar. If you pay you get access to the super secret recipe database and stuff like that. I felt like it was worth it but I let it lapse because there just wasn't enough traffic on the site.

So if you do pay for it, raid the recipe section and bring it here.

Now that you mention it, there was a decent recipe section back on the green board (heretical, I know). Truth is, I've made enough mead to know how to get what I want and with the FAQs here, the subject is pretty much covered for the less experienced. I wonder some times if there have been any innovations in terms of protcol and I believe oskaar went through the UC Davis oenology and could be helpful in that regard. So if you do pay for it, raid the recipe section and bring it here.

Oskaar knows his stuff no doubt but he even went so far as to design a custom SNA schedule for every mead depending on yeast mostly but also gravity and type of mead. I'm not convinced that was really necessary. In fact I'm not really convinced yet that SNA makes a better mead. I think I probably have some of those recipes somewhere. I'll see if I can find them and post them in the RS.ETA: I only found two recipes and I posted them in the recipe section.
