Weight is a big one. I also like a full open top. Sure you can do that with a converted keg but it is not as easy. Thicker material has better thermal properties so that can be a plus or minus. I do like the domed bottoms for whirlpooling.what are your reasons (assuming the kegs are legal)?

Sanke kegs wanted

I am open to anything. The best thing I've heard is buy good and buy once. Of course, I won't buy Blichmann pots or conical fermenters because my wife would shoot me. Plus, I would look like that guy with the clean and shiny gear but doesn't know how to use it.I pre-ordered this!pre-order??

Not kegs, but better and outfitted about as good as a Boilermaker for way cheaper.https://spikebrewing.com/
just an FYI - the 2nd link has slightly thicker steel. 1.2 mm versus 1 mm at spike brewing.drez - have you seen any of pots in person? curious about how their welding looks.Jd - here is one option to think about.
