Yeah, their prices have gone up a lot over the years. Great stuff though. I got one of their universal kettles and it is awesome. Plus you know it is a legal keg.Ouch!!!!

I thought most people went to Sanke cause they were cheap and easily converted. I like this system but it isn't much cheaper than a BlichmannYeah, their prices have gone up a lot over the years. Also keep an eye out on Craigslist. People will put them up there a lot of times. I got one from another homebrewer for 75.00 that already had the top cut and the side drilled. One thing to consider is if you get one that is not converted already, you'll need a way to cut out the top and drill the side. Plasma cutter I think...I thought most people went to Sanke cause they were cheap and easily converted. I like this system but it isn't much cheaper than a Blichmann

I have two of these with electric elements in therm and have had no issues with them. The walls are thinner than some but mine are still dent free. I have converted kegs before I went to these.another option https://www.amazon.c...l/dp/B000VXD94A

Sold Outhttps://www.chicompa...products_id=168Not a bad price considering. Gotta find a welding shop or something to cut it up, but still, much cheaper than a boilermaker. The Blichmann stuff is really nice.... just costly. Depending on your budget and DIY-itude

Explain?considering the cost of legit kegs I'm wondering why anyone goes that route anymore. if you can acquire some on the cheap I get it but that's the exception, not the rule.

buying used kegs that are legal is getting expensive. you then have to modify the keg to meet your needs. you could just buy a kettle intended for the job right from the start.Explain?

Some people feel that if you buy a keg of beer and pay the deposit you own the keg. This is not true. Few years back there would be multi-page rants about people "stealing" kegs and he legality of it. Man, I miss those threads. I think pots are a better way to go, IMO.buying used kegs that are legal is getting expensive. you then have to modify the keg to meet your needs. you could just buy a kettle intended for the job right from the start.
