I have to say that dispensing beer out of my corny has turned out to be a real pain. The foamy beer is all news about now, and I have ordered some new hoses to make sure that everything is set. Now, yesterday I dispensed a couple of glasses of beer. I don't know what happened but one glass of beer looks like a murky brown color while the other was fine. Both glasses tasted ok. I was thinking that this may be some sediment, but I tossed out a couple of pints the other day to make sure that the bottom crud would be gone, plus I have had nice colored beer in between then and now.Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like you got a little sediment for sure. Did you disturb the keg at all? As far as disensing for the time being I'd bleed the presure off the keg and set your reg very low, 3-4 lbs, just enough to get a pour.Beach

Yeah that must be it. I moved the frig and keg from the garage into the house. Maybe next time I will do a secondary fermentation anyways, even if it is a Hefeweizen.

If I ever become a moderator, I will make it a rule that you can't answer with one liners. A minimum of 5 sentences will be the rule for you. And another thing, your Avatar looks grumpy but I don't buy it.

Yeah, rule 1- try not to move your kegs anymore than is absolutley necessary. Even a guy like KenLenard can stir up shit.

That was nearly the only word I said online all day yesterday (I should have just stayed in bed). You should feel privileged. :D

I should also mention that some people cut their dip tubes short so that it sits above the layer of hefe on the bottom. Tow-may-tow tow-mah-tow

I'm thinking of cutting my dip tube. How much should I cut, an inch or two inches? I suppose there is no way to just look now that I have discarded a couple of pints.

I did it on one kegI then forgot I did that (MARK THE CUT KEG) and left 1.5 inches of strong iodophor in the bottom of the keg which I promptly filtered 5 gallons of what was a really good Torpedo Clone :crybaby:INTO IT

yeah - that's another reason maybe it's not the best idea. i like to push my sanitizer out with CO2 so I have a nice layer of CO2 in the keg.

Flip keg upside down and pull the prv. Problem solved. Problem staying solved.

Is it possible to disconnect CO2 tank once if set the psi for let's say 24 hrs or so and I'm not using the keg. The reason for my asking is that I would like to store two kegs in my small freeze and don't have room for the CO2 tank
