so like this diagram from HBT? i think this is wired how you are describing (+ goes through the controller).

Yeah, that one. It's not really + since this is AC but yeah, the hot goes through the controller and then to the hot side of the outlets.

got it. so in my case since I'll be wiring up 2 sets of outlets can I just chain the grounds on the two outlets together?I bought a 4 section terminal strip to make some of these connections easier.

Concur. You should never have any current flowing on your ground if you did it right so you just wire them all together. Make sure you wrap some insulation around that terminal strip if you decide to use it. You might not have to with the outlet box.

yeah - I'm thinking I may return that and just use wire nuts.

Plus I took a plexiglass clipboard and cut it up to make a piece the same length as the terminal board (TB) but about an inch wider, Drilled two holes in it and use it as a cover over the board. Looking at my pics you can see I only used one hole on eather side of the TB to mount it to the wood. I used the other hole to mount the plexiglass cover. I cut up an old bic pin to use as standoff's for the cover.Dan

i'm getting some help from someone who knows what they are doing (locally) so I think I'm going to be okay :PI neglected to buy a box to mount the outlets in. I'm thinking if I buy one that is extra deep I can jam any wiring in there to make this sort of safe.eta: to be clear you guys know what you are doing - you just aren't going to be standing next to me while I do this :P

I bet a bit longer, takes me 2 and a half to get to Porthsmouth Brewery .. Visitors are fine, as long as they go through the proper approval process ..
