With so many people on lockdown, in quarantine or voluntary self-isolation, I wanted to provide people with a few hours of reading material, so I'm giving away my e-book "Historic German and Austrian Beers for the Home Brewer" away for free.

The whole home-brewing community has been so kind to me and greatly supported me over the last two years, so I thought I give something back in return and give everyone something for free to read and brew. you are one of the few people I see around here using these.  do you have a thread going?  I'd be interested in discussing and hearing your thoughts.

I'm using Denny's for a White (Christmas) Stout. The Lutra and Hornindal I've used, I've posted here and on Ken's board. I really like these Kveik yeasts. Really, really like. The Hornindal made an excellent Tropical IPA at extreme temp. The Lutra is very clean - I used it in place of a lager yeast for a Baltic Porter and it was excellent (and finished in 2 days).

Soon, I may try the Liquid Stupid (Belgian Triple I renamed Drunken Monkey) but with Hornindal. I just wish it was still Summer to ferment at 90+.

I'd have to get out the space heater pretty much any time of year for this stuff.

Lutra does well cool, too. I think I fermented one brew at 70. Also Hornindal will ferment just fine at cooler temps, just not as fruity. The dry Kveik has also done well. These are becoming my go-to yeasts. No starters, just pitch and wait a few hours.
