... And this is exciting because I thought I was just getting 2308 (which I happen to LOVE, btw), but now it seems I'm getting an entirely new yeast (to me) and I'm interested in seeing how it comes out and how well I like it. Hooray!

just took my hydro sample and moved the primary to the fridge. ended up around 1.012. hydro sample tastes awesome. clean, malty, delicious.

yeah - I think this will be a great beer for people that don't like your typical homebrew (IPAs, stouts).

I agree. Abita Amber is a Vienna lager and is a very popular beer among the non-craft beer crowd. Altbier is another one that BMC drinkers tend to like.
