The recipe I have is very similar to this and I think it is quite good: https://www.brews-br...?showtopic=5064

Yep, pretty similar. The main difference I see is your 15 minute hop addition. The first o-fest I made had a 15 minute addition and I felt like it almost ruined the beer. Obviously different strokes and all and I'm glad yours turned out the way you wanted it to. However, I'd caution those who like a very malty festbier to be very careful with late (15 minutes or less) hop additions. The recipe I have is very similar to this and I think it is quite good: https://www.brews-br...?showtopic=5064

I agree. I like the 60-minute-only approach for an Oktober. I have every confidence in recipes posted by BryanH so I'm sure that the 60-45-30 approach is lovely too. Cheers.Yep, pretty similar. A good point - with the extreme malt I didn't notice much hop presence but I'll have to pay more attention when it's back on tap. Does anyone use any FWH for their Oktoberfests?Yep, pretty similar.
