? who's permission do you need to use the Brewboard? AFAIK Oldfart is still in residence on the greenboard.uh sorry to dredge again, but I read the thread about CO2 reclamation, and in attempt to respond to "oldfart" and praise him for his ingenuity/tenacity I was directed here, in fact almost a week now and I still have not been given permission to use the "brewboard".... Not exactly the way to keep site visitation high.

IDK but everytime I try to do anything but read a thread on it it tells me I do not have permission to.... do whatever it was I was trying to do. I have given up on it, despite my LHBS claim that I should continue to try.? who's permission do you need to use the Brewboard? AFAIK Oldfart is still in residence on the greenboard.

Jess used to have it set up so that he personally has to approve all new members before they are allowed to post. I don't know if it's still that way but it sounds like it.? who's permission do you need to use the Brewboard? AFAIK Oldfart is still in residence on the greenboard.

Yep. As far as I can tell, he hasn't approved any new members in about a month.Jess used to have it set up so that he personally has to approve all new members before they are allowed to post. I don't know if it's still that way but it sounds like it.

If you look at raw traffic, it's about the same between the two boards. However if you look at page views, we're serving up about 2-3 times the number of pages (approx. 1/2 a million per day). Also our bounce rate is much lower. So it looks like people are finding the green board on google to answer specific questions, getting that answer and then leaving. When people come to this site, they are more likely to stay for a while.I clicked over there, I thought it was interesting that there was about the same amount of total traffic as here (52 vs. 50 visitors in last 15 minutes), but here 40 out of the 50 visitors are members, there it was 10 out of 52. Just an observation.

I'd also point out that this (our) board is more active. I've noticed in the last few weeks that the threads tend to not move down the list very quickly on the GB.If you look at raw traffic, it's about the same between the two boards.
