I know. I checked to make sure the pin was in the proper placement. It was. It still had a hard time getting the poppet on the keg post to go down enough to push C02 in for some reason. Bottom line. I'm not wasting anymore money or time on those chargers, I think they are dangerous and crappy. Cheers,Rich

For use on those chargers I suggest just taking the pin out of the QD, then there's no possibility of it blowing up since it won't internally seal. The high gas pressure will still be enough to force the poppet down on the keg post and let gas in. The trick won't work on a system with a regulator though, since you'll need way more than keg pressure to depress the poppet.

I figured out what happened. When I cleaned the kegs I put the wrong posts on the wrong sides so the QD's didn't fit right. ID10T error! :cheers: These converted pin lock kegs are tougher to tell which goes where when the post isn't color coordinated or the wrench type isn't different.Cheers,Rich
