So, I found a bottle of 3ish years old Chaucers brand mead that I forgot about. I have never had mead before to be honest. This comes with a packet of spices. how is this best served? room temp? chilled? hot? Opinions?Charlotte and I plan to watch a movie tonight and drink the bottle.

It's not great, but I wouldn't dump it. It's not high cuisine, but it'd be fine for watching a movie.Kinda the AB/Inbev of mead IMHO.And it's better without the spices.edit: My recollection of the spices is that they weren't much, if any, different from standard mulling spices appropriate for non-alcoholic cider. Those I'd ditch, or use as a typical mulling spices.

I've only enjoyed this while watching some half assed 'jousting', I gotta say it fit the occasion pretty perfectly

Some garbage, It's a reference Sweet mead for style 24C.If you're in the mood for a sweet mead it's OK.I like putting the spice bags in, re-corking and waiting a month.Makes a fair metheglin.
