Due to an order screw up, I ended up with a 55lb sack of Best Malz Caramel Pilz. 1.) Score!2.) Does anyone know what to do with this stuff? Is it the same as dextrine malt? Seems like it would be, but I have no idea.

Hope you find a good use for that. 50lbs of Caramel malt goes a long way in .5-1lb increments.

No kidding, my beers are going to have mad head retention. Maybe I'll make a 100% dextrine malt beer. 'Hey! I can float a stack of quarters on this head!"

Indeed. I'm still enjoying my scale as well. It will get it's first actual batch of beer use this week when I measure out the grains for my AIPA

I brewed a beer with 50% chocolate malt and 50% 6 row. turned out great. the beer had 6% alc. The wife can't get enough of it. super smoth. fermentatation to drinking in 2 weeks. I may even make it again.sound like a good malty PA or IPA comming your way. Remember to add a little extra hos to offset the sweetness of the nonfermentables.

Hey, did you post about that beer on the other forum? I think I remember someone posting about a beer like that.
