Would you be able to dryhop with another hop (like Simcoe or Chinook) to cover the nasty? Ie, I wonder if an ounce of a real resiny hop could cover up that mess?

I probably could, but it's only gonna be ~ 10 bottles of beer. Imma let it go and see how long (or if) the rotten flavor subsides.

If I want a nice tangerine hop flavor I use Amarillo...i love me some Amarillo...just kegged a RYE PA with hopburst with mostly amarillo and some sterling and palisade....did it taste so damn good going into the keg...can't wait til it is carbed up.

Yep amarillo gives the tangerine. Thats why I use it as a finishing hop at times in Einglish bitters, I bitter with Challenger which gives hints of lemon(along with it's typical English characteristics) and goes well with Amarillo.

Yea, I dig the amarillo. Just took a bronze at a comp. with an APA that was heavily hopped with it. It was more juicy/mango than tangerine tho.The summit thing is all about trying new hops. I thought a summit/amarillo combo sounded wonderful (if the summit doesn't taste like crap)

This recipe 3 weeks in the bottle. We'll see how long it takes to get drinkable.Flavor: "Sweaty Goat Balls" Seriously, it tastes like a goat smells. I can taste the malt, there's nothing wrong with the beer (sanitation, ester, yeast-wise), it's just the hops.1 gallon1.061/ 61 IBU1 lb. 2oz. DME3oz. C-602oz. cane sugar.19oz mag @ 30min..25oz. summit @ 15.25 summit @ 0.25 summit dry hopnotty
