Thanks for posting these recipes. I like listening to cybi but I don't always have pen and paper ready when they list off the ingredients and amounts.

Not a problem... I am also hoping that this will bring a little more traffic to the forum! Might send the links to Jamil and Tasty to get them post somewhere else too!

Just think out loud. Is it just me or does that not look like an IPA recipe?

Do not get me wrong, I love Lagunitas beers. And that is a tasty looking recipe.

But 6.8 HBU at 60 minutes & 7.45 HBU at 30 minutes. BU:GU is only .79?

Those strike me more as APA numbers.

Maybe the 30 minute additions is where it gets it's hop punch.

Again just throwing it an observation.

I'm with you TB. It isn't the most representative of the NW style, but it is a fine beer. Very drinkable.

went by to pick up my hops today for this evenings attempt at this... they didn't have Summit or Horizon, instead went with Simcoe and Galena as per the BYO hop guide that was sitting on the counter there... said they were acceptable substitutes for this... of course i'll adjust my quantities based on the AA% in promash before I put anything in...

overshot my gravity a touch... came in at 1.064... should be ok, the hop bill i used ended up about 2ibu higher than the recipe calls for (my scale wasn't precise enough to get it all the way there)... but it was really close and should turn out nicely...

Rick,Not to hijack, but looking for the Censored recipe is the reason I found this forum. I'm brewing it next week. Thanks for the post. Judging by what i've read on the forum so far I am gonna move here from my previous forum. There are a few people on the other that seem to be better than everyone else.

just kegged this tuesday eve... dry hopped a bit longer than I wanted to cuz i've been nursing a bad back so it dry hopped for close to a month... really picked up that centennial flowers aroma nicely... took a sample last night, though not exactly carbed up completely (i'm leavin on vacation for a week starting tomorrow so it should be all set when I return), bitterness is a touch more than I was hoping for, slightly more bite than the original, flavor is good overall though and with the extremely long dry hop it has incredible aromas... actually "feels" like I got great attenuation out of the yeast (I don't remember what my FG was) as it doesn't have a big residual sweetness which I often get when doing bigger beers... as I said, its not a "ready for prime time" beer yet, but should be soon... so far though its a winner recipe though not an exact clone, but a very good beer in its own right...
