Going to make a Blonde Ale for my girlfriend. What should I use for the hops?WillametteCascade (pellet or Leaf)HallertauTetnagerSterlingSpaltNorthern BrewerI was originally going to go with the Hallertau but just noticed I have more of a selection. By the way, only one addition for 60 mins....

For a blonde, which I assume will be a low IBU 60 min addition, probably all of them would work fine.

that's what I'm thinking. most of the flavor and aroma will be driven off after 60mins with such a small amount of hops.

I like Sterling in a blonde. It has a bit of a spicy-Saaz thing going on. It will add a bit of character to the beer, even on just a 60-minute addition. If you would prefer that the hops contribute less (or nothing), use the Tettnanger or the Hallertau.Willamette = EarthyCascade = CitrusyHallertau = CleanTettnanger = CleanSterling = Slightly spicy/Saaz-likeSpalt = Clean/slightly spicy & sharpNorthern Brewer = Spalt-like, but sharper & EarthierAlso, I like the idea of just one addition, but you could also add a small amount (½ ounce?) anywhere between 20 and flameout for just a bit of flavor/aroma. Cheers & have fun with it.

Cascade (pellet or Leaf)HallertauTetnagerSterling

Don't see how you can go wrong with any of these, though Cascade would definitely give you more of a "Light APA" thing.I prefer to put some finishing hops in my blonde ale. About a half oz at 15 min and one ounce at flameout
