Not really an important question but one I've wondered about...If I have a mead that's kind of clearing and I stir up the lees to keep fermentation going do I have to wait all thattime again for it to clear on its own? Or if I mix up a finished mead, will it take 8+ weeks more to clear again orwill it clear faster due to many of the yeast being dead at this point or higher levels of alcohol or ???Just wondering...

My experience is that once the lees have settled, if you stir them up they won't take as long to settle the second time. I suspect different yeasts will act differently though. But I question why you are stirring up the lees once they've settled? Your fermentation has got to be finished by that point.
