Yeah, it wasn't too stuck, but the pump was trying to pull too much. I just didn't bother with the recirculation. It's draining fine. I half expected it to get stuck between the flaked barley (which I stupidly put through the the mill) and the powdered roasted barley. The mash wasn't too bad, it was probably a few degrees under what I planned for because I was mucking around in it for 20 minutes, but RDWHAHB. I think it'll come out fine.0the best laid plans...damn that sucksgetter fixed up yet?

Oops...4:58. I knew under 4:30 seemed a little too fast. Either way, I solidly beat the 5:30 I was aiming for, plus I got everything cleaned up during the brew, whereas my mash tun and sometimes boil kettle usually don't get cleaned until a day or two (or five ) later. The rig is ready to go for the next brew.If I hadn't had the stuck mash this brew would've been pretty relaxing. Next time...

It's when the filter/drain on your mash gets clogged up such that the liquid won't drain out of the mash tun.Whats a stuck mash again? Never heard of it.
