I was thinking about brewing some beer today and I have some rushed grains from austin homebrew that I bought about a month ago. They are still in a sealed bag, but they have been at room temperature. Are they still good?Cheers,Rich

I would say yes, look for creatures before you use them.In a sealed bag they should be just fine.Although i would not wait a lot longer.

try to eat some. if they smell good and are still crunchy and taste good, you should be fine. If it is mushy, or tastes stale, it may not be so good.

I used it. No bugs. Smelled ok. I didn't taste it, but the wort was sticky and sweet as usual so it will be beer.Cheers,Rich

As long as it's sealed I wouldn't worry. Especially after hearing how Ken L. keeps crushed grains around for 6 months or more and still makes great beer.

if you got bugs put the grain in a plastic bag and then into the freezer.chances are you already drank beer that had some extra protein in it. thats why we boil it
