I've been editing a lot of video from school, hence the Goose Island tour I posted. My boy is gonna get me back at some point for posting this, but whatever. I think it's funnier if you pretend that our prof is the guy who is talking in the soundtrack. It's not really a public link, but FB wouldn't let me upload for some reason, so I used my site...https://dieseldrafts.com/video/smith.html

haha, it's the ease of comments like these that make me think revenge is on my horizon. He's tapped normal kegs before, just not this kind. There's actually a point in the video before he starts hitting it where the instructor asks him if he knows what he's doing, he just looks up and says, "Nope."

when you say normal do you mean contemporary? I meant - had he tapped a keg like that before?

Yeah, I meant Sanke rather than hammering in on a german cask. Afterwards the instructor is like, "normally it takes at most 3 hits."

Do you have any pictures of beer being served from a Fass like this, Chuck?

Cool, thanks!

Note how fast the beer is pouring off for her... there is added pressure in the keg. Once that equalizes and starts to become a vacuum the pours slows down, you pound another spike in the top to allow air in.
