I couldn't make it out this year, but I was hoping to go next year if it is drivable from where I live or in a destination city, that way I can sell it to my wife as a double vacation. Last year in the Bay Area was great and really fun as we did all the San Fransisco stuff during the day and conference events at night. Last year they put in the program where next year's will be and wonder if they'll do that again.

The host city is determined by the clubs that submit proposals for their city to host. Get your club together and plan this thing out and you too can be a host city. The clubs in MN have worked their asses off for the past year to put this thing together. What have you done?

Well it sounds like you need to starting working your butt off. :PMy brewing partner got 2nd place for his IPA. He's off sailing in the Caribbean so I doubt he knows yet.

I'll likely be living in a hotel on the east coast then. If I can get the company to pay for a trip there instead of home, maybe I can make it. Probably not much difference in airfare.

West cost is tough it is hard to get a direct flight so I spend a day flying and in airports getting there isn't a big deal because of the time change but coming back I lose those hours. I can usually get pretty good pricing into John Wayne Airport. I don't know if it would be worth it to go there and drive or go to SD. would probably attempt to turn it into a family vacation, my sone wants to go to legoland.

They did. A group in WA got the laws changed specifically so NHC could be there. If you'd like to have the conference near you, get a group together and submit a proposal to the AHA. Here's what you have to be able to do...https://ahaclubs.hom...HCplanningguide
