We all know there are a metric buttload of beer styles, but if someone says "beer" what syle emmediately pops in your head? For me, it is american pale ale (and yes it was before I worked at SNBC too). What say you?MolBasser

probably something like an american amber (or a more amber colored pale ale).

I'm pretty sure we have and depending on who says it to me, I very well might think the same thing :frank:

You need help! Banish the thought.

Well, it is, by far, the most consumed style of beer in the world.

I like almost all styles so I think of what I'd like just then. Pale and IPA are up there, but belgians probably most often.

For me, APA without a doubt. For anyone around me, beer means watery lager.

Yeah, if I hear the word BEER, I probably envision a glass of clear, cold, gold lager. But it depends on who says it and what the circumstances are. I could very well envision a glass of amber/pale ale or amber lager. Tough question because (as mentioned), there are so many styles that could come to mind at any time. Cheers.

I don't know that I really think of a particular style when someone mentions beer.

This.Depends on the company, though. If my dad or my neighbors mention it, it's BMC. If it's here or around "beer" people, my first question would be "What kind?"
