I'm halfway there with 3 fridges: 1 lagering/cold storage/beer bunker, 1 serving fridge, 1 fermentation freezer. She hasn't divorced me...yet...If I got another fridge, I would probably use it for primary of lagers (which is now done in a tub of cold water). To do all of this correctly, I would need an additional 2 fridges. I would think that once you have 5 fridges dedicated to beer, divorce would soon follow and we would be clearly planted in the "mental illness" side of the hobby.
Chill haze on lighter colored beers...

Congrats Matt C you are well on your way. I will also say if you put them in an area that your spouse/wife does not care about then you will really be good to go. I personally have 4 freezers in the garage and my wife could care less honestly. I even took the freezer that was meant for her to put food in and filled it with hops and she still was alright with it. Hey even with that since I can only ferment 10 gallons at a time and love lagers and ales I would really love to get another one for fermentation and heck one more to cold store every keg I have too. Yes its addicting but my friends think its pretty cool to have all those freezers. Cheers guys!!I'm halfway there with 3 fridges: 1 lagering/cold storage/beer bunker, 1 serving fridge, 1 fermentation freezer. She hasn't divorced me...yet.

Yeah, I'm at 3 as well. One serving, one "on-deck" for cold storage of cold, carbed kegs and a third in the bar for bottles and supposedly "milk" and "orange juice" which I rarely allow in there. I really need another one for primary of lagers and then a 5th one for cold secondary storage of lagers. Before I do that, maybe it's time for that DIY walk-in cooler. Cheers.I'm halfway there with 3 fridges: 1 lagering/cold storage/beer bunker, 1 serving fridge, 1 fermentation freezer. She hasn't divorced me...yet.

I used irish moss in my IPA, no gel, 2 weeks in the fridge and its crystal clear. The cream ale I made was young and consumed in under 3 weeks, it was hazy and light colored. I'll have to make it again to see if it will clear up with a little time, but I have no patience or desire to mess with water at this point. Cheers,Rich
