I bought a 4 pack of Yazoo's Rye Saison and I really like it. It's not too spicy and is a really nice beer. Any one want to take a guess as to what is in it? The bottle says it has pale malt, rye, American hops, and farmhouse yeast. I'd like to try to brew a saison but I don't want 5 gallons of super phenolic, pepper, and clove. I hear the saison dupont yeast is pretty finicky and tends to shut down short of full attenuation. Most brewers compensate by using the "French" saison yeast which, oddly enough, doesn't give up. So what do you guys think is the better saison yeast if one want to avoid the clove and spice?

I really like the French Saison and the Farmhouse Ale strains. But, I'll see if I can get in touch with Linus Hall, and see what they are using.
