Had some plans for my first fishing trip in a while, but my buddy flaked out at nearly the last minute and I don't feel like going alone. Guess that means I'll be brewing this weekend :) I'm still deciding what to do, but I'm leaning towards a relatively low-gravity porter.

I was planning on brewing my American Bitter (it's become a traditional first-brew-after-new-baby), but it looks like it's going to rain - and my Quickshade got beaten up beyond use by a friend last summer. I may end up brewing out of my garage, or maybe delaying until next weekend.

Just got done brewing Ken's Memory Lapse Pale Ale. Brewed up 10 gallons and split with a friend. I am fermenting his share and mine too. Its in the carboy and chilling. I will do a yeast pitch tomorrow morning with some US-05.

I'm doing 10g of IPA at a minimum....may end up doing 10g of Dad's Lite as well, depending on how much is in the keg when I check it.

What's Dad's Lite?

It's really a cream ale I make with rice instead of corn, along with some sugar. I call it Dad's Lite because it's the only beer I make that my Dad will drink more than one of. I've managed to convert my wife and brother into hopheads, but my Dad still likes his MBL.

Sounds like something my wife would like; if you get a minute post your recipe in the recipes section. (There is a recipe section, isn't there?)

I've brewed 10 gallon batches every weekend for the last 5 weeks to get my stocks up. I'm taking this weekend off mainly because I don't have any yeast ready. I've been racking wort on top of yeast cakes for the last 4 batches and I'm afraid to do it one more time lol.I'm building up a pilsner starter that I'll use next week...

I've got too much BS type stuff to do this weekend. After this week, though, I have 10 days off of work. I'll brew a least once or twice, then.

Got a plan to do either an American IPA or a Rye PA today. Gonna have to be an inside boil as the sky has opened up down here.

I was able to drag my butt outta bed early so I am brewing. I'm about ready for the boil to start already. Is it too early for a beer??..I think not....*pours a blonde ale*

brewed a foreign extra stout yesterday and exceeded OG and even the unfermented wort tasted superb! It was indeed a good day.
