This is the sam adams long shot comp, I was just glancing at the rules out of curiosity (the bad grape beer was mentioned in another thread). These are their suggested guidelines. Seems odd they are willing to do a lager up to 1.090 but only up to 1.068 for an ale...?

The DIPA in the 6 pack I just bought was 9.6%. Maybe this is new for this year?

I did notice that, and I shipped mine out today, belgian blond started at .073, maibock at .071, and American brown at .074. Dont tell anyone.

I had mildly thought about entering but don't feel like rushing to bottle so I'll pass on the "longshot" that it is anyways, lol.
