I made an American Lager on Thursday and I have a Raspberry Ale coming up on Monday or Tuesday. Cheers!Where do you pick up the jaggery? Is it something you can pick up in a latin/caribbean market? I can't say I've ever seen it at any of the "alternative" stores I shop at. Do you get it online? Hope it comes out nicely.

Just mashed in 26# of malt for a RyePA. Gotta clean 2 kegs, keg, clean the fermenter, and harvest yeast for today's brew. Shooting for 1.065 and 70 IBU's. A little foggy around here, wish me luck.........

I get mine from the local Indian (dot not feather) market. I'm sure you could find it online if you had to. There are cheaper forms of jaggery, but make sure you get gur (i.e. palm sugar instead of cane)it makes a huge difference. It adds a nice subtle sweet and caramel flavor while drying the beer.Beer is fermenting strong.

I recall seeing it at Winco last month in the bulk section as well
