So, I just ordered 4 pounds of hops from hopsdirect and one of those is German Target Hops. I want to do some british ales so I ordered them for my bittering hop at 8.6%AA. I have read that they could be used as an aroma hop as well. Anyone have any experience with this hop? I have lots and want to learn this hop .

Nice choice. I brew an English Pale Ale and used Target at the end of the boil. It made for a nice beer. Definitely use it to bitter any of your english styled beers. I would even try and dry hop a Pale ale with a couple of ounces. Hope you like the hop, its a nice one.

I've got almost a pound left over from my order a few months ago. I did a single hop english IPA and it came out very good. When dry hopped I think this one tastes a little citrusy for an english hop, just my opinion. I will be brewing it again because I liked it so much. It bitters and dry hops very well. A true duel purpose hop. Good choice.

Great bittering hop.I used 2 oz 60 min to brew a traditional IPA. I used EKG at 15 minutes & 1 minute. (I do not know about using target for flavor ot aroma additions)

I agree, excellent bittering hop. I don't have much experience using it with using it for aroma though.Great to have around for general bittering though.MolBasser
