I use an old can of 3 in 1 that I had around.I think it is finally about time I oil the pump. It has served me well, and I want to leave well enough alone, but it has over 100 batches on it with no maintenamce. So what type of oil do you get? where do you get it? I have a sewing machine shop about a mile from my house, I was thinking of getting something there. Thoughts?

I assume that you are talking about the Zoom Spout Oiler. You should be able to pick it up at a hardware store for less. About a 10 weight oil. Good oil.3 and 1. Hair trimmer oil and non-detergent oil by the quart all work fine. Just keep your bushings and bearings lubricated.Oil is oil whether synthetic or fossil derived, low wax, non gumming, the point is to keep the bearing or bushing free moving for long life for the shaft and bearing area.I bought a bottle of electric motor oil at a local appliance parts store. Comes with a long skinny straw in the cap to help get the oil into those hard to reach lube holes. Probably paid $5 and it will last a lifetime.
