Wyeast1450 - Denny’s Favorite 50. This terrific all-round yeast can be used for almost any beer style, and is a mainstay of one of our local home brewers, Mr. Denny Conn. It is unique in that it produces a big mouth feel and accentuates the malt, caramel, or fruit character of a beer without being sweet or under-attenuated.Congrats Denny!

I had one of my LHBSes order one for me. The lady had no clue what I was talking about so we'll see what happens...

Nice to see it available year round...My porter I just won 1st with used this yeast...although it was a troublesome fermentor for me I am thinking i just got a bad pack and with them having it year around the reliability should be much better. Looking forward to trying it again.

Nothing at all like it's namesake.

The yeast was BrewTek CL-50, the company went under so the yeast did as well...looks like Denny contacted Wyeast then used brute force, they complied and released the yeast.https://www.tastybrew.com/forum/thread/118599
