quite possible...i have seen a few beers in the last year being called "extra pale ale"My first try with 5-star 5.2 sent my efficiency through the roof on a Pilsner batch (90% Pils, 10% CaraPils, and 45 IBU of Saaz). I added some water pre-boil to hit my OG, and ended up with extra wort. I quickly sanitized up a 1/2 gallon jug and put some of the extra wort in there. I then dumped in an old test tube of WLP001, and it fermented up nicely. I figure I'll use my new carb cap (gotta love the Xmas toys!) and bottle it up (I remember hearing Gordon Strong on the Brewing Network talking about overcarbing with a carb cap and decanting into bottles). So, what would you call a Pils fermented with Cal Ale? A very pale ale?

I kinda like EEEP. (Not really looking for BJCP, just something to slap on the label). I fermented at about 68, so firmly within ale temps.Eastern European Extra Pale Ale? EEEPA?Or are you looking for which BJCP guideline it would fit into? Category 23?What was your ferment temp?
