I had not realized that folks had were so passionate about cutting dip tubes.

There was a fairly epic debate on the NB Forum once about this. People get upset about this topic.

I just bend mine a little so they are up and out of the way. No tools needed and you can easily get the clearance you need, and can bend them back. You wouldn't want someone to snip your diptube, would you? :)

Sort of the same as the passionate debate over circumcision. :coffee: Fresh cut metal will expose a surface that is not passivated. You should treat the surface per John Palmer.Granted, it is a small surface area and doing this is not mission critical. But it is a simple procedure, so you might was well go ahead do it.zymot
