It's a little bit early for the weekend edition, but close enough for a New Year's edition. I was going to brew yesterday but went out to the garage to find a flat tire on the wife's Escape. Thought about changing my brew plans yesterday and make a Flat Tire (fat tire clone) to commemorate the event. Alas, already had everything ready for an India Brown, so I'm mashing that in today.

Brewing a Nut Brown ale (Recipe Swap) with my friend on New Years Day on Friday. Should be fun, never brewed on NYD so maybe a new tradition. Happy New Years to everyone here.

Good to hear from a Nodaker!! I moved to Kansas several years ago so I try not to complain about the cold and snow or lack-thereof. I went to school at NDSU and I know what it's like to be COLD

just finished a batch of MLPA.still haven't figured out boil off rate - ended up with 4.5 gallons in the fermenter, 1.055OG. Oh well, it'll just be a little stronger.Had to use the WLP008 as LHBS was COMPLETELY out of 001.

Ok this weather is messing with my evap... or so I thought... didn't think I was far enough along so I went an extra 15 minutes to make it 75 total. Little did I know it was spot on at 60 min. Oh well 4.5 gallons in the fermenter and an OG of 1.060 only .010 high.

Oh man and it was a RIS that dropped. :) Now I'm truly saddened. My Black Cat clone is STILL bubbling.three weeks at 59°F. Guess I ought to take a gravity reading here.

I decided to also do a 21st Amendment "Bitter American" clone last night. Glad I did cause it is snowing pretty good this morning.
