I don't have company over that often, so when I do, I want to make everyone feels as happy, comfortable and welcome as I can... That's probably when I pull out my rare beers and drink them.

I would share the attitude most have expressed here - that it's fun to share a special beer with special friends who will appreciate the beer, and would take their turn in sharing a special beer with you. But if it's your Budweiser-drinking friends who want to sample some of your good beer because they are nosey mooches, and they don't want to miss out on something expensive....well, then I would say, "don't cast pearls before swine".

it ended up being one of my beer buddies, he actually introduced me to Guinness back in the day and its just been fun since then. Now I have no issue spending 20 bucks on a beer nor does he.
