Pretty disappointed in my recent experience ordering from Northern Brewer.

Haven't brewed in a couple of years but my daughter is working at a local brewery (slinging beer & tacos, not brewing) and wants to learn to brew. So she's accompanying me and my brew club to the Emerald Coast Brewfest in September and she wants to brew a beer with her old man. My local homebrew shop closed permanently at the end of June so I ordered a couple of all-grain kits from NB.

First bitch is it took a full week for them to ship my kits. WTF? So I'm a week behind.

Second, the box was packed/sealed so poorly that gaps opened along the un-taped seams and my packet of Saison yeast apparently fell out. No local source so I'm just hosed on that recipe.

No customer service phone number, only e-mail. Still no response.

Is this typical?

MoreBeer any better?

I've been using Ritebrew. Best prices and fast shipping.

I've been using Label Peelers. They are only 50 miles away from my house, so regular shipping gets their stuff to me in usually 2 days

Yeah, Kim said it just wasn't viable anymore.

She's at Monday Night
