any opinions?  I personally like castle the best (out of breiss and castle) but I'm looking at ritebrew and they have a few options in order from least to most expensive.

Breiss

Bairds

Thomas Fawcett

I've used Breiss and it seems fine but not sure if either of the other options here are noticeably better.

But if no castle than which?

I do buy castle but I only have one option for retailer and I don't get it there too often. I usually have other chocolate malt on hand for beers where I don't need the chocolate malt to be quite as smooth (porters mostly).

I only use Chocolate for my Baltic Porter. Since I get it from my lhbs, I assume it's probably Breiss. I love how this beer turns out, so I'm ok with it.

I think I've used briess for that and it is good. I make probably 3-4 beers a year with chocolate malt so def something I'm paying attentiont to.

Fawcett pale chocolate in a brown ale is delightful. Adds a nice toasty note when used in smaller quantities in something like an amber ale or even a bitter.
