I haven’t noticed a difference but I haven’t actively been paying attention to when i have had the most issues.
I'm def just guessing how it works.

I cleaned the sensor lenses on the headset and that helped a lot. They didn't look dirty at all but I guess they must be pretty sensitive to any type of dirt/grease.
ETA: It's still extremely frustrating when you're playing hard/expert level when you get a few hundred perfect cuts in a row then miss one because the position flakes out. It's enough to make me not want to play even if it's only happening every few games instead of every game.

is there a way for you to see what the cameras see?

I'm going to try a factory reset and see if that helps, it's driving me crazy.

I tried to google if there is a calibration procedure but it seems like it's for the controllers and not for the headset.

Seems like it's a faulty controller. It has never happened with the left controller, it's the right one 100% of the time. Maybe it got whacked around when the kids were playing it.

Do you have any security cameras with night mode? Those will see that LED so you could check if it's functioning.

The interesting thing about this issue (which is ongoing) is that it's far, far more prevalent while playing Beat Saber than any other game. When I do the FitXR workouts that are similar, where you need to hit cues with your hands, the location rarely drops though it does happen. My son plays all kinds of different games and he doesn't seem to notice. Weird.

It's pretty freaking cool. It's a painting app but they did it really well, it's basically simulated oil painting. You can mix colors on a palette and there are various brushes, palette knives, etc. Really neat.

Luckily I bought a squaretrade 3 year extended warranty, but now I've got no headset for awhile and I'm annoyed

I used the Quest developer tools to disable the sensor that shuts off the screen when you take off the headset and that has fixed my issue, apparently that sensor can go bad. It's a $29 part but might as well use the extended warranty while I have it.

Why did you ship fedex? You complained about them when my steam deck was delayed
Not my choice, it's a return and they sent me a shipping label
