One I just committed:
I wasn't careful about keeping grain bits out of the boil kettle. I haven't cared for a long time now. It doesn't seem to cause any issues as far as I can tell.
- no rehydrating dry yeast
- no oxygenating wort beyond the splashing on the way into the fermentor
- only two packs of dry lager yeast into 10 gallons of moderate to lower gravity wort
