I want to send my friend in Germany some beer. How hard is this going to be?

It will be very expensive and you may get into a customs issue. I did it a few times training and used FedEx and DHL but this was years ago.

Civilian-ish contractor to the military. The address would be off base. I may be able to use my contacts to get it shipped from MacDill AFB to Germany using my step dad to get it on base to the person that would transport it. That would mean likely bottling more beer to grease the wheels. Then it would get shipped to germany and he could get it on base there? I'd have to get him to confirm this.

Even domestically this is true. I'd think long and hard if this was a worth while endeavor.
